5 Hurt In West Side Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Five people were injured Tuesday morning in a traffic accident on the West Side.
An EMS Plan I -- which automatically sends five ambulances to the scene -- was called to the crash at Washington Boulevard and Central Avenue about 7:50 a.m., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Will Knight said.
The scene was secured by 8:24 a.m., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado said.
Three people were taken to West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, one person was taken to Loretto Hospital and one person was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, Rosado said. Details on their ages and conditions were not immediately available Tuesday morning.
According to initial dispatch reports a bus may have been involved in the crash, but this could not immediately be confirmed.
