5 Critically Injured In River North Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Five people were critically injured late Saturday in a when a car and a taxi cab collided in the River North neighborhood.
Emergency crews responded at 11:50 p.m. to the report of a crash near the intersection of North Orleans and West Locust streets, according to Fire Media Affairs.
A car and a taxi cab collided at the scene, Police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.
Five people were injured in the crash, according to Fire Media Affairs. Three were taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and two were taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
An EMS Plan 1 -- which automatically sends five ambulances to the scene -- was called for the crash, Fire Media Affairs said. The EMS Plan 1 was secured at 12:10 a.m. Sunday.
