5 Children Among 10 Hurt In Calumet Heights Bus Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Ten people -- including five children -- were hurt when a school bus collided with another vehicle Tuesday afternoon in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood.
The crash happened about 4 p.m. near the intersection of 93rd Street and Jeffery Boulevard, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said, citing preliminary information.
Four children were on the school bus with the driver, which collided with a second vehicle carrying two people, Zala said.
Paramedics took 10 people, including five children to area hospitals in fair condition, Fire Media Affairs said.
Their injuries are minor, police said.
Details on what caused the crash were not yet known.
