4-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police have a person of interest in custody for a hit-and-run accident that left a 4-year-old girl in critical condition Saturday afternoon.
At about 4:40 p.m., police were notified that a vehicle struck the girl as it traveled northbound in the 7100 block of South Normal Avenue.
Paramedics took the girl in critical condition to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, police said.
Police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said charges were pending against the person of interest as of Sunday afternoon.
The Police Department's Major Accidents Investigations Unit is investigating.
