4-Year-Old Girl Found After Being Kidnapped On West Side
UPDATED 11/10/11 11:35 a.m.
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 4-year-old girl has been found after allegedly being kidnapped on the city's West Side overnight, and police are questioning her babysitter.
Jeniyah Dickens was found in the 5000 block of West Congress Parkway Thursday morning, police said.
On Wednesday, Jeniyah's babysitter gave Diamond "Lady" Oliver, 17, permission to take the little girl to a restaurant at Harrison Street and Lotus Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood, from the babysitter's home in the 500 block of South Central Avenue, according to police.
But Oliver did not return Jeniyah, and never contacted anyone. Oliver is not related to Jeniyah or anyone in the little girl's family.
Police said earlier that Oliver might have been seen with Jeniyah leaving a game room at Harrison Street and Cicero Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
Jeniyah was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation, and police are questioning her babysitter, the Sun-Times Media Wire reported. No information has yet been released on whether the babysitter or Oliver will be charged with a crime.
