4 Wounded In Shooting On Near West Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- At least two people were in custody Wednesday morning, after four people were shot on the city's Near West Side.
The shooting happened around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of West Washburne Avenue, on the former site of the ABLA Homes public housing development.
A woman was wounded in the head and was taken to University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in serious condition, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines. A second person in unspecified condition was also taken to UIC.
The two other victims were taken unknown conditions to Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Gaines said.
At least two people were taken into custody, Gaines said. It is not known whether more suspects are at large.
