Police: 4 People Shot In Chicago Lawn
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police said four young men were shot in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Tuesday evening on the South Side.
The victims were shot around 5:40 p.m. near 6042 S. Rockwell St., according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala. All four victims were approximately 17 or 18 years old.
One victim was shot in the hand, one was shot in the knee, one was shot in the thigh, and one was shot in the foot, police said. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
Fire Department representatives only had information for three victims: one taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, one taken to St. Bernard Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, and one taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious-to-critical condition.
Police said the shooting appeared to be a gang-related drive-by, but further details were not immediately available.
