4 Hurt In CTA Bus Crash Downtown

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four people were hospitalized early Friday when a CTA bus and a car collided at Washington and Clark streets downtown.
The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. A No. 20 Madison bus and a car were both headed east on Washington Street when the car turned in front of the bus, causing the bus to crash into it, Myles said.
Three people aboard the bus were transported to area hospitals with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, she said. About five ambulances, as well as fire trucks, were dispatched to the scene.
CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros reported seeing paramedics getting out stretchers at the scene.
Four people in total were transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, said Fire Media Affairs spokesman Will Knight.
Three of the people injured were passengers on the CTA bus, Myles said. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, she said.
Citations will likely be issued, said police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro, though none had been issued as of later Friday morning.
