3 Shot In Separate Austin Attacks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three people were wounded Friday night in two separate Austin shootings on the West Side.

About 10 p.m., two 17-year-old boys were outside in the 1000 block of North Lorel when they heard gunfire and realized they'd each been hit twice in the right leg, according to Chicago Police.

They showed up at West Suburban Medical Center, as did a 46-year-old man who initially was thought to have been hurt in the same shooting. Police later determined he'd been shot in the forearm about the same time in the 300 block of North Austin.

Their conditions were stabilized, police said.
