3 Shot In Cicero
CICERO (CBS) -- Three people were shot in west suburban Cicero early Sunday morning, when a dispute between neighbors erupted in gunfire.
Cicero town spokesman Ray Hanania said people attending two different parties at neighboring homes in the 1400 block of South Austin Boulevard apparently were involved in a dispute around 3 a.m.
The dispute was quickly broken up, but about half an hour later, it continued again in front of one of the homes, and someone fired shots.
A man in his 20s was shot in the chest, thigh, and buttocks; a woman in her 20s was shot in the leg; and a man in his late 30s was shot in the groin, according to Hanania.
All three were taken to the hospital. The woman was treated and released. The men underwent surgery, and were in good condition Sunday afternoon.
Police said the shooting was not gang-related, and was under investigation.
No charges had been filed against anyone involved in the shooting as of Sunday afternoon.
