3 Shot, 1 Critically Injured, In South Shore Attack
CHICAGO (STMW) - A gunman shot three men -- critically injuring one -- while they sat in a parked vehicle late Friday in the South Shore neighborhood.
At 11:09 p.m. Friday, a male approached the vehicle in the 7000 block of South Merrill Avenue that the three men were sitting in and fired multiple shots, according to police News Affairs.
Three men -- ages 24, 25 and 28 -- were shot in the attack, police said.
The 28-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest and arm and was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
The 24-year-old man was shot multiple times in the leg and groin, according to police. He was taken in "stable" condition to Stroger hospital.
The 25-year-old was shot in the leg and taken in "stable" condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
No one was in custody as of 4:30 a.m. Friday, police said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
