3 Hurt In 2 Pilsen Shootings

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was in good condition after being shot in the Near Southwest Side Pilsen neighborhood early Sunday.

The shooting happened about 12:45 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Loomis Street and sent a man in his 40s to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in good condition, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and leg and was transported in good condition, Greer said. The attack may have been a drive-by shooting, police said.

About 15 minutes later, a separate shooting about four blocks away in the 1900 block of South Throop Street injured two men, including a man in his 40s who was in critical condition after being shot multiple times in the abdomen, police said.

Both he and the person shot - a man in his 30s - were also taken to Stroger Hospital, police said.

No one is in custody for either shooting early Sunday, and Harrison Area detectives are investigating both incidents.
