GRAND RIDGE, Ill. (CBS) - A woman and her two small children are dead after a fire in their LaSalle County home on Thursday.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Michele Fiore reports, the woman's husband, Gary Shepard, was first on the scene. But flames shooting from their home in rural Grand Ridge, Ill., just south of Ottawa, kept him from getting inside, so he called for help.
