22 Children Hospitalized After Wicker Park Bus Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- More than 20 children were hospitalized when a school bus crashed in the Wicker Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon on the North Side.
The bus and a car collided about 3:20 p.m. near North Ashland and North Milwaukee avenues, police said.
Paramedics took 22 children to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The Fire Department said all the children were hospitalized in "good to fair" condition and police said going to the hospital was precautionary.
Police could not immediately say if the driver of either vehicle had been cited.
