Woman In Critical Condition After Garfield Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman was critically wounded in a shooting in Garfield Park neighborhood Saturday night.
The 18-year-old woman was shot in the groin area about 7:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue, police said. She is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The woman was standing on the sidewalk when a male approached on foot and shot her, police said. He then fled the scene in a light-color vehicle heading westbound.
No one was in custody early Sunday Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
