Biggs: Bears In Good Shape For Playoff Push
(WSCR) After another win in the NFC on Monday night, the Bears moved to 5-3 on the season and inched their way closer to a playoff spot.
While Green Bay appears to be the locked-in divisional winner, the Bears will now face off against the Lions on Sunday in what could be a battle for second place in the NFC North.
"It's real simple: If they can beat the Detroit Lions on Sunday, then you have a tie for second place in the NFC North," Brad Biggs of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show on Tuesday. "Then, you're in place to compete for the fifth playoff spot in the NFC. If you lose this game to the Lions, I think it's going to be very difficult to get ahead of them here in the second half of the season, then you're talking about fighting for one spot. But if they beat the Lions, then it's really going to be wide open."

Briggs said he Bears win over the Eagles on Monday night was a combination of all facets of the game working together.
"The line was terrific," Biggs said. "You look at the game where Jay Cutler wasn't sacked for the first time this season. In the last six games, he's been sacked ten times, so you've got a combination of the line playing better. Maybe it's Mike Martz's play-calling meshing better with what they do better. You gotta love it."
