2 Women Found Dead, Of Natural Causes, Near Glenview
GLENVIEW, Ill. (STMW) -- An 87-year-old woman and her 67-year-old daughter were found dead Thursday night in a home near northwest suburban Glenview, and autopsies showed both died of natural causes.
The bodies were found at a home in the 700 block of Forum Square in an unincorporated area near Glenview, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The women, whose bodies were found decomposed, were identified as 67-year-old Elizabeth Schultz; and 87-year-old Mary Hochner, both of the Forum Square address, according to the medical examiner's office.
Both women died of natural causes, but it was unknown who died first or how long either had been dead, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's office. Both were found in "advanced stages of decomposition," she said.
Autopsies on Friday revealed Hochner suffered a fatal heart attack and her daughter, Schultz, suffered a subdural hematoma from a fall, with cardiovascular disease and chronic alcoholism contributing to her death, a sheriff's office spokeswoman said.
No foul play was suspected in either death, according to the sheriff's office.
