2 Teen Boys Shot On Far South Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two teen boys were shot on the Far South Side early Thursday.
The shooting happened at 2:15 a.m. in an alley in the 10800 block of South Green Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
The victims were walking down the street when suspects pulled up in a dark colored vehicle and fired shots, hitting both teens before fleeing southbound in the vehicle, according to a police News Affairs release.
One of the victims was a 16-year-old boy who suffered gunshot wounds to the shoulder and mouth and he is in critical condition, according to a police News Affairs release. The other victim is 17 and he was listed in stable condition, after being shot in the leg, the release said.
Greer said the victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment.
The suspects were not in custody as of 6 a.m.
