$2 Million Bond For Woman Charged With Stabbing Husband

WHEATON (CBS) -- Bond was set at $2 million Monday for a 42-year-old woman charged with stabbing her husband to death Friday night, police said on Sunday.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Westmont Police Officers responded to a 911 call at a home in the 500 block of West 61st Street in the west suburb, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's office.

When officers got to the home, they found 49-year-old David Davis bleeding from a knife wound to the right side of his abdomen, a release from the state's attorney's office said.

He was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital, where he passed away from his injuries at approximately 11:36 p.m.

His wife, Lisa Davis, was arrested at their home and has been in police custody since, the release said. It is alleged on Friday at some point before 7:30 p.m., the two got into a verbal altercation, which ended with Lisa Davis stabbing her husband with a kitchen knife, the release said.

She has been charged with first degree murder, according to the state's attorney's office.
