2 Former Neighbors Charged With Child-Porn Possession
JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) -- Two southwest suburban men who lived in the same apartment complex have been arrested for child pornography following separate investigations.
Thomas M. Fees, 52, of the 0-100 block of Fernwood Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested Aug. 14 and charged with three counts of possession of child porn, according to a statement from the Will County State's Attorney's office. He was ordered held on a $200,000 bond.
Thomas J. Goforth, 33, formerly of the 0-100 block of Fernwood in Bolingbrook, was arrested in Olathe, Kan., and charged in Kansas with possession of child porn, according to the state's attorney's office, which will determine if charges are also warranted in Will County.
The arrests were the result of a joint investigation that led to the execution of search warrants in separate two-month investigations into the downloading and distribution of child porn, according to prosecutors.
