2 Donation Jars Stolen In Northwest Suburbs
CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (CBS) - Police in the northwest suburbs say two donation jars were stolen from businesses in Crystal Lake and Cary.
The jars were intended to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Toys for Tots.
On Oct. 30, two people were spotted in the Country Donuts at 181 Virginia St. in Crystal Lake. When they left, one of them took the large cash donation jar from the counter from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from the counter, Crystal Lake police said.
On Nov. 15, what is believed to be the same two people walked into Cary's Restaurant, at 350 Northwest Highway in Cary, and took the Toys for Tots collection jar, Crystal Lake police said.
Police have issued warrants for a man and woman they believe to be the thieves – Michael Feterick, 40, and Kathryn Williams, 28. Police do not know where they are.
