2 Dead, 9 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday Night

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were killed and at least nine other people wounded in gun violence across the city since Friday night.
The most recent fatal shooting happened early Saturday in the South Chicago neighborhood.
Jacoby Herron, 21, was outside with other people about 4 a.m. in the 2400 block of East 79th Street when shots rang out, authorities said.
Herron, of the 7900 block of South Oglesby Avenue, was shot multiple times and was dead on the scene, authorities said.
The weekend's first fatal shooting happened late Friday in the Woodlawn neighborhood.
Kenneth Barbour, 18, was shot while arguing with another male about 8:10 p.m. in the 500 block of East 68th Street, authorities said.
Barbour, of the 1600 block of East 85th Street, died at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 11:32 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The most recent non-fatal shooting happened after 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon when a man in his 20s was seriously wounded in the Southwest Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.
The man who was shot multiple times, in the 1800 block of West 44th Street, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition, police said.
Hours before Saturday, a man was shot in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The man showed up at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the right thigh about 4:30 a.m. and told police he had been shot at West Belmont and North California avenues, police said.
Earlier Saturday, a woman was shot in the backside in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The woman, 26, was shot about 2:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Spaulding Avenue, police said. She was taken in "stable" condition to Norwegian-American Hospital.
About 2 a.m., a woman was shot in the foot in the 1700 block of East 71st Street in the South Shore neighborhood., police said.
The woman, 18, walked into Jackson Park Hospital, where she was treated and later released, police said.
About 1:15 a.m. Saturday, a man was shot in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.
The man, 24, was with friends in the 7400 block of West Rogers Avenue when a gunman fired shots, police said.
Police said the man was shot in the left arm and ran to a nearby CTA station for help, where officers were notified. He was listed in "stable" condition at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.
A few minutes earlier, two men were shot in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The two men were walking down the street in the 5800 block of West Irving Park Road about 1 a.m. when shots were fired, police said.
One man, 21, was shot in the knee and taken in "stable" condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. Another man, 22, suffered a graze wound to the abdomen and refused medical attention.
A man was wounded in a separate shooting late Friday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood.
The man, 24, was shot in the leg about 11:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Harding Avenue, police said. He was taken in "stable" condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
About 10 p.m. Friday, a teen was shot in the Armour Square neighborhood on the South Side.
The teen was walking in the 3700 block of South Wentworth Avenue when he heard shots ring out and felt pain to his shoulder, police said.
He was taken in "stable" condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
No one was in custody for any of the shootings early Saturday as detectives investigated.
