3 Dead In South Side Drive-By Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW)- Two men and a woman were killed in a Saturday evening drive-by on the South Side.
Somebody inside a vehicle shot two men and a woman about 5 p.m. in the 8700 block of South King Drive, police said. All three victims are believed to be in their 20s, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Police said the woman and one of the men were dead on the scene. Authorities said the second man was initially taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where the medical examiner's office said he was pronounced dead at 7:05 p.m.
Police said a vehicle pulled up, at least one person inside opened fire and the motorist drove away. Nobody is in custody Saturday night.
All three remained unidentified Saturday night, according to the medical examiner's office, which will perform an autopsy Sunday.
The CTA said 87th Street buses were temporarily rerouted in both directions near King Drive because of the police activity.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
