2 Adults, 3 Kids Hurt In Crash At 55th And Western
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Five people – three of them children – were injured Saturday afternoon in the Gage Park neighborhood.
The crash happened at the busy junction of 55th Street/Garfield Boulevard and Western Avenue around 3 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva.
Three children, whose ages were not immediately known, were injured and reported in fair to serious condition. One of them was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and the other two were taken to Holy Cross Hospital.
Two adults, in serious to critical condition, were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Roccasalva said.
An EMS Plan I response, which brings at least five ambulances to the scene, was called for the crash.
