1995-96 Bulls Named Best NBA Team Ever
CHICAGO (CBS) The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls have been named the best NBA team ever by a panel of current and former players, coaches and executives who voted in a Sporting News poll.
The Bulls beat out some of the great Celtics, Lakers and 76ers teams of the 1960s, 70s and 80s. The poll is part of the Sporting News' "Great Sports Debates" series which celebrates their 125th anniversary. This particular debate resulted in the release of the top 10 NBA teams ever, which listed the 1995-96 Bulls on top.
That team of course set an NBA record with 72 wins behind the stellar play of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman.
The 1991-92 Bulls came in ninth on the list.
