Northwest Side Hit And Run Leaves Teen Critically Hurt
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 18-year-old man was critically hurt when a compact car plowed into him and fled the scene early Sunday on the Northwest Side.
At 12:02 a.m. the 18-year-old man was on foot when a white Dodge Neon or a white Toyota Corolla hit him and fled the scene, according to police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety.
The teen was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Baety said.
The driver of the car was not in custody as of 2:30 p.m.
The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
