$125K In Trumpets Stolen From Musician's Home
EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- Police are seeking a "named'' suspect who stole 50 professional trumpets from the north suburban home of a musician.
The instruments were taken from an attic of a man's home between March 23 through May 25 in the 1100 block of Cleveland Street, according to Evanston police Cmdr. Jay Parrott.
The instruments are professional-grade and worth about $2,500 each, according to Parrott.
The victim only recently discovered they were gone because he hadn't been to his attic recently, where he'd been storing the trumpets, according to the commander.
The suspect, who Parrot said has been "named" is described as a man, who is 5-foot-8 and weighs 152 pounds, according to police.
He has not been arrested as of Friday afternoon, the commander said .
