At Least 9 People, Including Multiple Children, Injured In Accident At 48th And Michigan
CHICAGO (CBS) -- At least nine people, several of them seven children, were injured Sunday afternoon in an accident in the Bronzeville community, police said.
The Fire Department was called at 3:50 p.m. for an accident at 48th Street and Michigan Avenue. Police said there were three cars involved in the crash, which happened at 3:55 p.m.
Police said five children and four adults were injured and taken to area hospitals. though the Fire Department earlier said seven children and four adults were hospitalized.
The CFD said three adults and three children were taken to Mercy Hospital, three more children were taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital, and one child and one adult were taken to St. Bernard Hospital.
