100-Year-Old Church Collapses In Hammond, Indiana
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 100-year-old church collapsed Saturday in Hammond, Indiana.
The collapse at Memorial Church Ministiries happened just before 5 p.m., at 1103 E. Morris St. and police had to shut down the streets around it for safety.
The steeple is barely standing.
It is unclear if it was still being used as a church and the building was not occupied at the time it collapsed.
