10 Hurt When Truck And CTA Bus Collide
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Ten people were taken to hospitals Friday afternoon, in a crash involving a commercial delivery truck and a CTA bus on the South Side.
Authorities said the truck crashed into the bus near the intersection of 79th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue shortly before 1 p.m.
Ten people were hurt, but none of the injuries was considered life-threatening. Two people were taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, two were taken to University of Illinois Hospital, four were taken to St. Bernard Hospital, and two were taken to Jackson Park Hospital.
The truck driver was at fault for the crash and will be issued a traffic citation.
