Driver Charged With DUI In Dan Ryan Crash That Hurt 10

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A motorist has been charged with drunk driving following a multiple vehicle crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Tuesday night in the Greater Grand Crossing community on the South Side.
A limousine, truck and at least two cars crashed on the inbound Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) near 69th Street about 7 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.
One of the motorists has since been charged with DUI, according to the Illinois State Police.
Three people were hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition and one person was taken to a hospital in fair-to-serious condition, according to the fire department.
Paramedics also treated six people on the scene who declined to be hospitalized, the fire department said.
State police could not elaborate on the exact cause of the crash or which driver was charged with drunk driving.
