10 Bald Eagles Spotted In Elgin
ELGIN, Ill. (WBBM) -- Some new visitors have been spotted in downtown Elgin.
Once threatened, now flourishing, bald eagles have been seen not far from the public library, as WBBM Newsradio 780's John Cody reports.

Avid birder George Krutchen says the 10 bald eagles – six adults with white heads and tails, four immature and still solid brown – were obvious, perched in trees along the Fox River.
"I started walking off the path toward the river, and then I noticed several adults and several immature eagles flying, and some in the trees," Krutchen said.
Krutchen says there have been several reports of Bald Eagles moving east from the Mississippi and using the Fox River as their fishing hole, like the 10 he spotted on the west bank in Elgin, just north of the downtown area.
