3 Dead, Including Suspected Gunman, After Shooting In Ashburn

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three people died Monday morning, including the apparent gunman, and two people were wounded in a shooting inside a home in the Ashburn neighborhood.
Dozens of Chicago police officers descended a home in the 3500 block of West 79th Place, after receiving reports of people shot shortly before 9 a.m.
Sources said it started when two men got into a fight over a cell phone on 79th Street. After that fight, one of the men ran into the home on 79th Place, where an altercation took place inside.
In a statement late Monday morning, police said when officers arrived, they found two injured men outside the home. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
Officers then heard shots fired inside the home. After securing the scene and calling in a SWAT officers, police found two women and a man dead of gunshot wounds inside the home. Police believe the man shot the two women, then killed himself.
"It was pretty frightening to know this was going across the street from where I live," said Kathy Cain.
Cain says she heard about 12 gunshots all together and then saw two men run from the house and fall on the lawn.
"I heard someone say 'Oh my God I've been hit someone help me.'"
Police said the shooting appeared to be the result of a domestic dispute.
Relatives say the homeowner's nephew shot his girlfriend in a jealous rage and also shot the homeowner's God daughter, then shot himself.
