1 person shot, killed on Chicago expressway ramp
CHICAGO (CBS)-- One person was shot and killed on a Stevenson Expressway ramp Sunday night.
According to Illinois State Police, the victim was shot on the inbound ramp to southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive just after 10:20 p.m.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital, where they died.
All lanes reopened after an investigation at the scene.
Including this latest incident, ISP has investigated 13 expressway shootings, and one of them was deadly. In 2023, at this time, ISP had investigated 23 shootings, including two fatal incidents.
