1 Person In Critical Condition, 10 Displaced After Apartment Building Fire On South Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Ten people were forced into the cold when a fire ripped through a South Side apartment building early Sunday morning.
It happened just before 3 a.m. near 38th Street and Ellis Avenue in the Oakland neighborhood, close to the lakefront.
A man in his 30s suffered burns and smoke inhalation and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
