1 Killed, 2 Wounded In Rogers Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood Monday night.
About 7:20 p.m., three men, ages 27, 25 and 36, were in a convenience store in the 1600 block of West Howard Street when someone standing across the street opened fire, police said.
Darnall Gordon, 36, was shot in the chest and taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
Gordon, of the 6300 block of North Sacramento Avenue, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:26 p.m., the medical examiner's office said.
The 25-year-old was shot in the hip, wrist and leg and also taken to Saint Francis in serious condition. The 27-year-old took himself to Saint Francis with a gunshot wound to his clavicle, police said.
No one was in custody as Area North detectives investigated.
