1 Held After Burglary At Historic Moody Church
CHICAGO (CBS) -- One person is in police custody, accused of breaking into the iconic Moody Church at the southeast corner of the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Police say at least three people broke into the church, at 1635 N. LaSalle Blvd., just after midnight Monday morning.
Police say the trio set off fire extinguishers and broke a window at the church.
The historic Romanesque and Byzantine-style Moody Church opened in 1925. It was a successor to 19th century church founded by legendary Chicago evangelist Dwight L. Moody.
As of later Monday morning, no charges had been filed.
