1 dead, 6 Wounded In Bar Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) - One man is dead and six others were wounded in an early Sunday shooting at a Woodlawn bar, police said.
The shooting happened about 1:50 a.m. near East 63rd Street and South Rhodes Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Police said the shooting happened inside Inflation Lounge at 541 E. 63rd St. when an argument started at a private party and at least one person started shooting. The lounge has a private room in addition to the bar.
Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said five people were initially hospitalized in critical condition. Police said two other people took themselves to area hospitals.
Police said one person, a 31-year-old man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive on the scene. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death.
Police said a 27-year-old man was shot in the abdomen area is in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital; a 29-year-old woman was shot in the back and is in "stable" condition at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County; a 22-year-old woman was shot in the leg and is in "stable" condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital; a 31-year-old woman was shot in the leg and is in good condition at Stroger Hospital; a 22-year-old man was shot in the leg and buttocks and is in "stable" condition at Stroger Hospital; and a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg and is in "stable" condition at University of Chicago Hospitals.
The wounded were not cooperating with police early Sunday, and a motive remained unknown, police said.
The gunman fled after the shooting and is not in custody early Sunday, police said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
