1 Dead, 2 Wounded In West Garfield Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man was killed and two others critically injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in the West Side West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting occurred at 12:10 a.m. in the 4400 block of West Jackson Boulevard, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.
Two people were taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Kevin MacGregor said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the death of one man at the scene.
Further details were not immediately available but all three victims had gang affiliations and criminal histories, according to police.
