1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Glenview Crash
GLENVIEW, Ill. (STMW) -- A head-on car crash in north suburban Glenview killed a 37-year-old driver and injured two others Sunday afternoon.
Emergency crews called to the 1000 block of South Milwaukee Avenue about 2:41 p.m. found two cars with crumpled front-ends, Glenview police said in a release.
The driver of a 2001 Toyota Camry was being tended to on a sidewalk, police said. His injuries were not life-threatening.
The occupants of a 2012 Kia Soul fared far worse.
The 37-year-old man who was driving the car was removed from the Kia, but later died, according to the release. His name was withheld pending notification of family.
The wreckage of the Kia had to be cut away to rescue his female passenger, police said. Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
All three were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
The accident is under investigation.
