1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Shooting Near Eisenhower Expressway
CHICAGO (CBS) -- One man is dead and another is injured, following a drive-by shooting overnight on the city's West Side, on the surface streets right above the Eisenhower Expressway.
The men were standing in the 3600 block of West Harrison Street, when a dark colored sport-utility vehicle pulled up at 8:42 p.m. and somebody inside opened fire, police said.
Alex Mojica, 26, of the 1600 block of Clarence Avenue in Berwyn, was shot multiple times, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Mojica was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 9:25 p.m., the medical examiner's office said. An autopsy will be performed Thursday.
A 36-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a graze wound to the face and a gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said.
The gunman fled southbound on Central Park Avenue and is not in custody Wednesday night.
