1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Separate Far South Side Shootings
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One man was killed and another wounded in two shootings that happened about the same time just a few blocks apart from each other Wednesday afternoon in the Far South Side West Pullman neighborhood.
At 1:07 p.m., a male suffered a graze wound at 122nd and Carpenter streets, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said. The male, whose age was not known, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was "stable."
At 1:08 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the neck and side at 122nd and Halsted streets, O'Brien said. He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The circumstances of the shootings were not immediately known.
Area South detectives are investigating.
