1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Bishop Ford Crash
DOLTON, Ill. (STMW) -- One motorist is dead and one other is wounded after a two-vehicle crash early Sunday on the Bishop Ford Freeway where alcohol is believed to be a factor, state police said.
A 2010 red Chevrolet Camaro was traveling south on I-94 in Dolton at 6:55 a.m. when the car struck the rear passenger side of a 2004 Silver Hyundai, which crashed into a wall, according to a release from Illinois State Police District Chicago.
Both drivers were hospitalized with one person being pronounced dead, according to ISP District Chicago.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and charges are pending.
All southbound lanes of the Bishop Ford expressway were reopened about 10:45 a.m.
