1 Dead, 1 Injured In Lake View Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) -- One person was killed and another critically injured in a fire in a Lake View apartment unit early Friday evening, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 540 W. Wellington Ave., in a four-story apartment building, according to Fire Media Affairs.
One person was killed, while another person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair to serious condition, fire officials said.
The fire was contained to one apartment and the cause is under investigation.
