1 Dead, 1 Hurt After Crash On I-88
OAK BROOK, Ill. (STMW) -- A man died and another person suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 88 near west suburban Oak Brook, authorities said.
The crash happened about 4:55 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 88 near South York Street, according to an Illinois State Police Tollway District sergeant.
A man, 29, was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downer Grove, where he was pronounced dead, according to the sergeant.
Another person who was in the vehicle also suffered minor injuries, state police said. It wasn't immediately clear which person was driving.
Further details were not immediately available Tuesday morning as Illinois State Police continued to investigate.
