2 Dead In Southwest Side Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man and a teenage boy are dead following a shooting in the Southwest Side's Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
The victims were shot at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday in the 5900 block of South Francisco Avenue, police said.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the head. He is identified as Darryl A. Manns, who lived on the block where the shooting happened, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the back and buttocks, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
The boy, Alejandro Valdez of the 5900 block of South Talman Avenue, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:51 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
The victims were walking when a male shot them, police said.
A possible shooter was seen fleeing the scene wearing a grey tank top and black jeans, Zala said. Details on what prompted the shooting were not known.
No one was in custody in the shooting early Wednesday.
