New study finds jet lag can have a profound impact on your metabolism

Researchers had participants delay their bedtime and mealtimes by 5 hours. This led to several changes in metabolism including reduced energy spent processing meals, changes in blood sugar and fat levels, and a slower release of breakfast contents from the stomach.
