Incredibly, the current storm's center is 1000 miles to our East and while it isn't directly impacting us, moisture on its western flank is getting squeezed out by a pinching off vort lobe.
The large ocean storm responsible for a foot of snow over the Cape is still spinning hundreds of miles offshore and will continue to impact the area through early Thursday morning. We remain on the fringe of this monster occasionally getting some drops or flakes tonight under cyclonic flow
Yes we have model consensus one more time, this time however it's in the other direction. This has been a fun ride and just think...this storm still really hasn't gotten cranking yet! So now that the models essentially show a miss with no more than an inch or so for the Cape could it all swing back west?
Well, things certainly have gotten more interesting since we last spoke...all of a sudden the odds of getting a big snowstorm have gone way up!
The high temp in Boston today was 23 achieved at 1PM making this the coldest high since January 30th earlier this year...truly Mid-Winter cold!

It's 10:30 and flurries are falling in Boston right now...kind of nice! This weak disturbance is flying by and will leave behind coatings especially from the Pike South including the south shore and maybe even the Cape and Islands.
My thoughts from last night actually still stand. I still expect widespread dustings tomorrow night to as much as an inch as models typically underestimate warm air advection clouds and precip.
