With this morning's low lifting north and east of the region, we will dry out as mentioned with North winds wrapping in around the departing low. However thanks to abundant cloud cover temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees in most locations with the "Hot Spot" being far southeastern MA where proximity to a warm front will allow temperatures to reach a balmy 65-67 degrees.
With the cold front offshore, we can expect a rapid increase in sunshine this morning with mostly sunny skies developing. Although we are behind the cold front, the coolest of the fall air is still well off to our northwest, and as a result temperatures will climb into the lower 70's most locations, with light northwesterly winds. It doesn't get much better than this (unless the Patriots win of course).

With a weak ridge of high pressure still in place, just enough sinking air remains in place so by the afternoon, this deck of clouds will begin to thin inland giving way to increasing sunshine inland where high temps could climb into the Lwr 70's...especially in western New England who will see the most sun. Clouds will hold longer on the coast, but eventually the sun will emerge this afternoon. Light east winds will keep it cooler at the coast again in the Lwr-mid 60's. Cape Cod and the Islands will have a mostly cloudy day with the risk of being clipped with some light showers from the midday through afternoon.
Cool High pressure sits over New England this morning with cool calm conditions. Temps in the 40's and 50's will be warming inot the 60's this afternoon. Light NE winds will keep it cooler at the coast 62-65, very similar to the current Ocean Temp. It will be slightly warmer inland 65-68 away from the onshore flow.
Clouds will be in place through about 10 or 11 AM...before a sharp clearing line will be working towards the coast by lunchtime. Temps have been cooling behind the front this morning into the 50's and Lwr 60's. Once the sunshine comes out in full this afternoon, temps will give another run towards 70-72 degrees, but will start to fall later in the day with the lowering sun angles and breezy NW winds pushing in the much cooler air from Canada which will settle in tonight.
A milder SSE wind is in place this morning with temps in the 50's and Lwr 60's. Early Breaks of morning sun are fading to Mostly Cloudy skies. Highs will climb to near 70-75 by late in the day with mainly dry, muggy and breezy conditons for Eastern MA. Not a bad day on the Cape. Winds will pick up from the south this afternoon with gusts to 30 mph.
Sunshine and light SW winds will allow temps to warm up quickly this morning into the afternoon. Highs will be climbing into the mid-upper 70's inland. Winds will be light enough to turn onshore during the afternoon...a sea breeze will keep temps in the Lwr 70s at the beach. High clouds may increase a bit during the afternoon...but just an all around stellar day outside.

Some may be stuck in the clouds for much of the day. On the Cape there is sunshine! A gorgeous morning. I do expect a gradual thinning and lifting to the clouds for partial sun to emerge by the late morning into the early afternoon. I think we are looking at a decent beach day for sky conditions, once the clouds burn off, but wind and waves may be another issue. Any emerging sun will help to fuel the development of afternoon storms.
