September is 'going out with a bang'! It's going to be a beauty of a day with very warm temperatures in the middle to upper 70s!
The first change is that we've gone from sunshine to clouds and showers. The massive area of low pressure that has been hangin' out in the midwest is slowly reaching our hometowns.
A persistent onshore wind will cool us down today and will also be the culprit for the potential of minor beach erosion and splashover for east-facing beaches. Skies will be partly sunny along with high temperatures in the upper 60s along the coast and lower 70s as you travel farther away from the coastline.
Temperatures will be taking a slight downward turn today as highs will range between the lower and upper 70s. The cooler temperatures will be along the coast as winds will originate from the E-NE.
The foliage is starting to show explosive colors across Northern New England, but most of our viewing area won't reach peak until mid-to-late October
